I don’t expect people who think the world is flat, viruses are made up and that an orange criminal is their savior, to distinguish fact from fantasy. When the perpetrators get caught (and they will) they can cosplay in jail and prison.

Lol cops don’t care and tell you there’s nothing they can do.

I feel like Nate laying in bed for entire episode illustrated the self-introspection that Nate went through to .

Yeah, that was my rationale too, as well as him actually smiling at seeing Jaime beat his beloved team.

Am I the only one that sees Lasso as a slight retelling of the Wizard of Oz?

Roy seemed to have some thoughts of his own on a twisted MILF arc, haha.

Re: Jamie’s dad - I guessed rehab, my wife guessed a memory ward.  Neither of us thought of prison, but now I do think that’s a reasonable possibility too.

Ted bursting into tears talking about how he felt afraid to be close to his son sure pulled a whole bunch of tears out of me over here.  That entire exchange with his mom was superb.

Once again, I am one of the (few?) people watching this show who could have used another hour of this episode, I loved it so much.

Oh, two other really funny moments:

Random thoughts in no particular order:

I guess his two friends (Bug and the other guy whose name I can't remember, since it's not "Bug") pulling out the flasks right before they cut to him was a subtle hint.

Yes it was rehab.

Oh, and in one of my favorite Jamie moments, I did love his little dickhead smirk he gives when he re-enters the game and the crowd starts booing him again— even more than the “come on” type gesturing afterward.

I thought there was a chance Roy and Keeley were going to bang on Jamie’s childhood bed.

Honestly, if this wasn’t an A rated episode in your eyes, I don’t know what more the show can give you. And I don’t think we’re watching the same show. The entirety of the Beard/Nate scene, from jump scare to quite contemplation ranks up there with the best things this show’s ever put to film.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it were Tom that is actually offered CEO. Greg is just a poor man’s Tom, and it would be quite an ironic statement for Shiv’s husband to actually be the pick, flipping their power dynamic while maintaining the broader societal one. Gerry is another candidate, but you would think the Nazi

Only Kendall is set up to be a true successor to Logan with one episode remaining (via the Board rejecting the GOJO deal) . Roman was gutted as an ineffectual headcase on the alter, and all the other options are really second fiddles to Mattson at best, not a true replacement for Logan.

When Shiv talks about the perfect American CEO for Mattson, a “puppet” he can control... she’s describing Greg to the letter.

It’s interesting seeing Shiv fall into the eternal role of the political hostess: introducing powerful men to each other and smoothing over their differences. And it is a kind of power, but it’s not the kind of power that makes you a CEO. Lukas was so careful to just say “American CEO.”
