It seems like Roy was winding up to ask her for a commitment, and she was going to let him down gently. Could be wrong, though.

I think he sees through Kendall, and figures he can control him. Matsson probably thinks the same.

There’s not a big market for 76 year old grumps living off decades old fame, but rounding out a what-could-have-been career by being an utter ass is totally on brand for him.

I had a regular customer who both wore running shorts every day, and used a recumbent bike for transportation. His shorts apparently were not made for going commando, but that didn’t seem to trouble him.

Ran into it when I started out, and things haven’t changed-if staff is cut, men will be kept because, ”They have a family...” When hiring starts again, “But they have a family...”

Or maybe it’s because the youngest kid hit 18.

Unless he’s a 17 year old college freshman, what’s this “allow” business?

Fashion magazines are in the business of selling magazines. Newsstand issues are sold to distributors, who return unsold copies and get their money back. Too many, and heads will roll. It’s not like books, where you can flog the unsold copies at MAGA rallies.
