I absolutely agree with you on the politicizing of issues that shouldn’t be. I wish it were not so. But any reading or listening to populist media here and in the UK will show that a certain proportion of the right-leaning commentariat absolutely *hate* cyclists - presumably because they are too European or don’t

A 69 year old high school janitor was killed by a hit and run driver just outside my town on Monday night. It was the day before his 70th birthday.

Now you see why racism, sexism or any other ism, is so hard to change.

The fact this works says disgusting things about the mindset of drivers.

If you want to “ease them into full adult responsibility” then let them vote first.

I’ve experienced the daily ‘toolbox’ meetings in other industries. After a while, they just become noise, because they’re the same message every time. It eventually comes down to how much you respect your shift lead to determine how closely you pay attention at the pre-task briefing. Your personal sense of

Because Railroads have a monopoly in the area they service. they don’t worry about bad publicity like other corporations do...

Because it has nothing to do with giving these *children* rights, it’s about giving fast-food franchises access to even cheaper *child labour* at unsociable hours when public transport is even less useful.

This is why all the ECP discourse following the accident has been so maddening. Brakes had jack shit to do with this issue. However, you left off the really fun bit:

Why don’t they let those teenagers vote or buy alcohol while they’re at it?

The name itself just sounds old, like something driven in the 1930s.

modern day stelantis is reminding me of mid 2000s GM: too many brands. Not saying I would want Chrysler to be canceled but their volume is so low why would a giant corporation spend any energy increasing it. They can spend tons of resources to double triple, ect the chrysler volume or they could increase the sales of

My dad is a union plumber/pipefitter, I totally get your ire and agree with you. I think the quote was a bit out of context and didn’t most likely get explained fully. Of course wages shouldn’t go down, but in time where there is/was some wage gowth it is hard to operate when you don’t expect it.

1st gear: Agreed... wealth consolidation continues and will continue to erode our economy.

the livewire was interesting to ride. i liked it and they tried like hell to get me to buy one. but with an 80mile real world highway range and 1.5hrs to charge its not useable for me. for the same price id rather buy a triumph rocket 3.

Not really on the Livewire. I am not a Harley guy, I like ADV bikes and the PanAm doesn’t appeal to me at all. However, a buddy went and took the course to get his license at a Harley dealer in Massachusetts, so I went down to check it out with him on my Honda Africa Twin.

Tax cuts for the rich in 2018 = r3cord Ferrari sales in 2022.

Neutral: Overall I’m ok, but wary? My daily medication seems to be losing it’s efficacy, so that’s worrying me. Especially since non-diabetics are using up the supply of things like Ozempic, which is probably my next stop on the medication train.

3rd Gear: “Honda expects to sell 60,000 fuel-cell cars globally by the end of this decade,”

Ferrari is finding that it can’t make a car expensive enough for some of its clients. The 7-figure Ferrari is something that some people will HAVE to buy. The rich keep getting richer, and there are more of them.
