This is the first moderately intelligent thing I’ve heard in support of your side of this argument, so thank you for that.

Since 2008 how has the strategy of negotiating/compromising with Republicans worked for the Democratic party? Also, why do all of you lunatics use identical rhetoric about “being adults and grown-ups.” Exactly what does that mean to you, other than implying that “DNC types just no better than you!” Again, point me in

The problem with compromise is that, for the past 3 or so decades, “compromise” has inevitably meant giving the right more and more control, until we now have Trump in the White House.

On what planet have any Republican been willing to listen to literally any Democrat since the Obama years? Compromising with Republicans has only led to disenfranchisement among the left. There no reason to continuously do this, yet, here we are again.

lol, that sure did work for Obama. Got us here. Got us Gorsuch instead of Garland. Oh, did I mention Trump? Head of NASA who denies climate change? Head of EPA who thinks EPA is a waste of time?

What kind of people do you think would be willing to work for Mike Pompeo?

Moreover: the rationalization a lot of people have been working with to justify having Clinton behave as a petulant child is that the nomination could be killed in committee. As this article makes clear, that’s just not true. Rand Paul can vote however he wants today. It’s a protest vote that is 100 percent symbolic.

SHS is first gen Bible Thumpin’ indoctrination incarnate. I was going to a Baptist church with a friend as a kid round about the time she was (I’m older). Riiiight about when youth group stopped being about loving your neighbor and started being more about “those commie baby killing abortion loving liberals.” If you

Hopefully, the right will see her talking to him as being “associated” with him, and that will tank his chances with Republican House and Senate members - because they hate Hillary more than they love their country.

Then why Trump always crying about not getting the rest of his appointments through?

Is that what the GOP did during Obama’s presidency? Did they love the country more than they hated the president? Are they putting the country over party now?

Telling people they need to work to get benefits without creating jobs for them to work at is an especially shitty way to treat people. What jobs are they supposed to work at?

Welp, good portion of his base is about to feel a really direct, inescapable sting.

Is this a joke?

Correct. No one has more cause to hate this asshole or the one he works for more than her, but she is, despite her many flaws as a candidate, nonetheless a patriot.

It absolutely is. She doesn’t have the privilege of deciding not to take a call from the guy who is going to be the chief diplomat of the United States—a position she once held. The department has been dismantled over the last 15 months. If called on for advice, it is absurd that anybody would expect (let alone want)

This is true: Establishment Democrats will never save you.

Max, go play with your toys. The grown-ups are talking.

Of course not, where did I mention anything about that? Capitalism is the best system that we have currently.

Young people are sick and tired of seeing their country run roughshod over by privileged bigots. Young people want to see people who represent america in positions of power, diverse people, smart people, people who want America to be what the founding fathers saw that it could be with the right leadership.
