The key distinction is that you’re never going to get the Genocide ending by accident. It’s not just a matter of killing story characters - you need to spend a *considerable* amount of time grinding random battles in a game that provides very little benefit for doing so. Even if you go into the game saying “I’m going

The Genocide route is also specifically SUPER BORING by design; it’s essentially a commentary on treating games as things that need to be compulsively consumed rather than a story to become invested in. From an LP perspective, not watching due to the player shooting for the genocide route is absolutely the right call.

If there isn’t a Yankee wearing “YEAH JEETS” then there simply is no justice in the world.

To add to that; the Ari Berman piece also references an older study that found that voter ID laws suppress the vote not only by excluding people who lack the corresponding ID, but also by psyching people into *thinking* they lack the appropriate ID even when they do.

Where the situation gets compounded is that “gay” is an explicitly player-visible trait, but other sexualities are (apparently?) not. So if you see someone *not* labeled gay, I think a pretty common assumption would be that they’re hetero-. That that’s not the case is already pretty unintuitive from a play

Seriously disappointed in the lack of 100ft Robot Golf coverage here.

The Friends Activity is a nice touch, but it’s also kind of a reminder at how remedial a lot of Steam’s social functionality is. Easy example: there’s no way to easily identify which of the games in your library are multiplayer; if that’s something you’re interested in, you need create a “Multiplayer” category

bleh disregard

It looks like it gets thrown off by a lot of pop culture references. Apparently the bands Cake and Spoon both got some activity in my timeline at some point; Facebook now thinks I like the bands AND the very concepts of cakes and spoons.

Microsoft’s statement was vague, with the company praising how Rocket League on Xbox One could connect with PC players, leaving “an open invitation for other networks to participate.” (PS4 players could already join those on PC.)
So wait, does that mean that on PC, I can already play with XBox

I’ve long wondered if granting players individual control over each limb was part of the solution, but that seemed beyond the scope of most video games. Would you end up with something like QWOP?
