Rosedale represent! Often underrated and overlooked, but worth the trip.

LC’s represent! A true BBQ treasure in KC.

Yeah, it’s hardly “the hood”.  It’s just in the space between Downtown and Midtown where there’s no tall buildings.

I hear ya; I think Smokehouse is great!

I’d also like to mention a newcomer to the scene in the the humble town of Gladstone, north of KC; Mudhole BBQ is giving it a shot at both KC style BBQ and an Asian fusion slant to other offerings on the menu. Ate there last weekend, and was suitably impressed.  Excellent burnt ends!

Except for us in KC. We know.

Rosedale is, IMHO, the best bang for the buck in KC. I’d happily eat at any of the other places mentioned (particularly LC’s!) but if I wanted great BBQ for not much dough, Rosedale is where I’d head.
