Gout does indeed suck! I developed it after losing 50 lbs (!). I don’t get any swelling, but it feels just like a dog trying to chew off the big toe on my right foot. Fortunately, a small dose of Allopurinol knocks it right out. Without that drug, just the wind blowing on it was too much!
