I don’t know that that’s reliable tho; I’ve seen more Trump signs than Hillary signs but my area is a solid blue one and my state is so blue, all Trump can do is come to a Black church and have nobody show up. He’s been here like three times and all he’s done is lose ground.

I agree it hasn’t been well researched. As a former journalist who is now a Phd student, it’s not hard to track these people down.

Good point. I’d like to know the average useful lifespan of the more recent stadiums. I assume that 30 years is just a banking standard and has nothing to do with how long the stadium expects to be used.

I have no doubt Jerry is going to ask for a new stadium in 10 years.

god, thanks for reminding me of this fake chan ho park radio bit

You guys are missing the biggest lie in this whole deal:

When these stories come out, in addition to the outrage, what also appear are predictions of these local officials’ political demise. A cool story (or series) would be to see what kind of work/business these officials are doing a few years after, once the fiscal damage is more apparent.

I won’t jump to conclusions that

The Rangers reserved the naming rights to the stadium so that after they complete this horrendous deal they can appropriately call it Chan Ho Park.

Fear not, the good people of Arlington will resoundingly vote this down because if I’ve learned anything in the past eight years it’s that conservatives are always fiscally responsible and have no patience for excessive government spending or debt.

It’s like each new stadium financing deal somehow has to be more nefarious than the last, each team attempting (and sadly, succeededing) to dupe the public worse than the team before it.
