Been saying this since the start of the primaries. Trump did well because fuck liberals. Has nothing to do with the man or his policies and everything to do with being shouted down and libsplained to death about how stupid you are if you don't agree

I would imagine it is because the various groups that comprise the left spend more time making good the enemy of great instead of making bad the enemy of good. For instance, if you are doing the correct thing, but speak about inarticulately, you will get shit all over.
You made the most salient point but glossed over it:
Only non-colonized African state, with a free legacy to pharaohnic era.
How else can you virtue signal without actually doing anything to help people?
it’s silly to point and jeer at everyone who is sleepier than you,
Yeah, this article is odd. It starts with the premise:
What's wrong with that?
I’m a little confused by this article, and perhaps maybe these topics in general so here are some bullets of my questions and would appreciate honest answers, not trying to be a dick with any questions if they come off that way, just trying not to be long winded:
no he clearly is to anyone who respects diversity (myself included) just saying, the far left is clearly not welcoming to people on the fence. Articles like this just talk down to well-intentioned people.
As a married father to two daughters, I transitioned over the years from a typical girl crazy single collegian to the man I am today. It is natural evolution to adapt and grow based on your surrounding environment. And like it or not, that it generally what it takes to gain that insight. The “Hey young lady, can you…
I’m tempted to roll my eyes at this one a little bit (okay, a lot). I mean, I get it, but shouldn’t we be using every tool available in our rhetorical arsenals to make the point? You have to remember the intended audience here.
If you figure the world’s population is on a continuum of woke-ness, I really think it’s silly to point and jeer at everyone who is sleepier than you, especially when they’re trying to get better, as in these cases.
I fucking hate trump and am voting for Hil, but jesus if it isn’t easy to see why people of lesser intelligence jump on board with him. When you are constantly being told you are wrong and dumb etc. like this article, eventually you will give in to right wing propaganda.
I have been struck this week by the way people have been talking about the blatant misogyny at the GOP convention. Over and over, I hear people say that stuff like “Trump that Bitch” will turn of women voters.
“Does having a personal stake in the unique opportunities and obstacles encountered by females force a man to notice them more? Undoubtedly. People are selfish; empathy is not naturally equal.”
As a woman? It’s a step in the right direction if you can get someone to imagine themselves in your shoes. And it is easier for some (with less imagination) if it’s someone they love and want the best for. I have trouble seeing this as necessarily “possessive.” But I have only my paternal (non-possessive) example to…
I think the point of these statements is missed. If old people were being beat up/raped, Obama would say “think of your grandparents”. It’s less about “male permission” and much more about making it relatable to women that are close to you. As you said, people are inherantly selfish, so unless they can relate it to…
Good grief. Have we reached a point where it isn’t OK to say anything? Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
Why do you assume that such framing refers to women that the speaker feels possessive about? Can’t it be that, for example, Obama is asking men to think about the women they care about? When he said, “Trayvon could have been my son,” was that possessive or an act of empathy?
