There was a thread the other day where multiple (ALLEGED) humans were saying they didn’t like garlic or onions. I assume they’re on an ice cream-only diet as that’s the only thing that made any goddamn sense to me.

In all of my U.S. history-type classes in school, I really never learned about Jim Crow. For an embarrassingly long time I sincerely wondered why black Americans, as a group, had not been able to better their circumstances. I had NO idea of the severity or the recentness of it all. And by “it all” I mean everything…

Because kids are dying as a result of it. We are getting measles and other 100% PREVENTABLE DISEASE outbreaks in areas where vax rates are getting low. KIDS. ARE. DYING painful, preventable deaths.

I mean his policies started a really bad trend but income inequality was way better in the 80s than it is now, the economy was doing well overall (yes I know that in an entire decade there are counter-examples), and there was an increase in access to cheap consumables from overseas.
