True, I’m not much for reverence or worship. I try to be more reasonable. A game is so much more than a single voice actor so boycotting a game because of a single voice actor seems insane to me. Blacklist was a great game and easily one of the top SC games (second only to Chaos Theory). The VA for Fisher did a good

You...you seem to not understand that you’ve gotten my point. Like, 100% of it. It’s one thing to doubt casting, but to swear off a show completely before giving it a chance based on casting instead of acting is hilariously naive. Your own qualms with Cavill aren’t making you abandon the idea that he could possibly

Geralt is meh, so i don’t care who plays him. I’ll watch.

I’ve never really understood why people boycott things for such petty reasons. It’s like when people boycotted Splinter Cell: Blacklist because Michael Ironside wasn’t the VA for Fisher. I can understand being disappointed but outright boycotting seems a bit much.

Yup. But honestly, I’d probably go for a relative unknown instead of a big name talent, or maybe someone who’s been a big name but has been out of the limelight lately. Someone who the audience would let disappear into the role, instead of making jokes like “lol why doesn’t he use his heat powers”.

I mean, he’s overexposed lately, but I kinda figured that they’d go for someone like Josh Brolin.

You are clearly thinking about Geralt from the game, who is a generation older than Geralt from the books. People talking about Mads Mikkelsen or Stephen Lang are misunderstanding what this TV show is going to be about.

...and if I could edit my comment to note that I now know it’s a younger Geralt, I would. My deepest apologies for being somewhat confused.

There are two Geralts.

Older? Geralt is almost 100 years young. Beside the Netflix series are leaning more toward the novel series, which are the prequel of the first Witcher game. We are talking about the origins of Yennefer and Ciri here.

Disagree on the unknown part. This guarantees attention and eyeballs for Netflix. It also shows a serious commitment to the series. Considering the season will only be eight episodes long and based on the books it likely means we’ll only get a few of the shorts stories from The Last Wish and possibly Sword of Destiny.

If the 212 were a representative and random sample, then that’d be sufficient for a reasonable statistical analysis where you could present conclusions such as “the data suggest that X% of Home Depot employees (margin of error Y%) think that their life is being drained away by working here” but there’s a voluntary

This is such an obvious point, and thank you for making it so I didn’t have to. I have no doubt the culture at Home Depot is lacking, but collating this data and pretending it is in any way meaningful is irresponsible.

My experience has always been:

Home Depot: 7 employees in the entire store; but every goddamned one of them remarkably helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Also, “We asked people to send us their feedback for an article about how bad this employer is, and the majority of emails we got were negative.” It’s good that they point out it’s not a scientific sample, but highlighting the data in a pie chart and suggesting it’s how employees feel about Home Depot is misleading.

I am underpaid and overworked!

YOU COULD HAVE SAVED HIM DESMOND

The book version of Sirius’s death was the one that really, REALLY wrecked me. I think it took me two more days to read the final 60 or so pages because I couldn’t read through my tears.

The dog episode was sad, but really “Luck of the Fryish” really hit you out from left field with the sad. The whole episode played like a normal show until the last few minutes.

Futurama.
