Oh, believe me, I agree fully. If I had to guess, though, maybe it’s because of how she’s broken out of Joker’s shadow/control? Although that’s still relatively recent.
I will say that the Harley we’re seeing in the Injustice 2 comics is a really good take on the character. From the beginning of the comic she’s portrayed as still having enough awareness to know how bad of a position she was in, and over the course of both series has been part of a long-term well done redemption arc.

IDW is taking all the 80's cartoons of my youth and turning them into one big well-done extended universe and I am totally on board for it.
