How in the hell are we, as a society and a species, still letting MTV make these shitty "reality" shows?

This guy's life is turning into an Onion article.

"Now I gotta turn my back."

Oh come on. We all know women are too emotional to be president.

You're actually closer than you think; in the current Transformers comics, Starscream actually became the leader of Cybertron and is in a constant state of spinning everything to make him look good while trying not to freak the fuck out over every crisis so he doesn't get deposed.

Good lord if I ever wished I could upvote something more than once…

Reality's just flat-out broken at this point, isn't it?

"Real job" is an amazingly nebulous phrase. It's one of those things that people say but never actually define. Is it a job that's difficult? Necessary? Are there "fake jobs"? Imaginary jobs? Where's the point where a job becomes "real"?

Fletcher Hanks' work was like a bizarre heat-stroke induced fever dream.

If this book doesn't have Fantomah combining a bunch of poachers into one single dude and running him/them through a maze of horror until they die, then I'm not interested.

No.

Because people told them it was wrong (and why), and it's easier to fight back than to self-examine and change your ways.

“Is it just me or has South Park gone full cuck?”

That's my recollection of the book, yes.

You know, if you can't handle criticism or people saying bad things about you, why in the fuck would you get into any level of politics?

"Of course orcs are always evil! Just look at them!"

Yeah, what impresses me about NotLD is that while everyone is making bad decisions, it feels like they're making them in a more realistic way, if that makes any sense. None of the reactions anybody has feels forced, or played up for the cameras like they would be nowadays. Like you said, they're all trying to stay

I'd imagine it was an even more shocking twist at the time it was originally screened, since I don't think "everybody dies badly" was exactly a common thing back then.

You seriously need to read The Disaster Artist. You have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Oh, you claim to be a Doctor Who fan, eh, female? Well, let's just see if you can prove your arbitrary level fan-ness with my 100-question trivia quiz…
