She last made a movie with him in 2008, nearly a decade ago and before Dylan Farrow came out with her editorial. She has no obligation to make a statement nor do the other hundreds of actors who have worked with him over the years.

Something is happening. I had a quick trip to Sundance this year and women I’ve known for years, who’ve never been able to get their films much attention, are getting standing ovations. Women I’ve known who are hardened by the system broke down yesterday. It’s nuts. I’m seeing some attention on women-centric projects

Yeeep. John Teti (former editor-in-chief of AV Club) had this great subtweet last week:

Looking forward to reading your review!

In the pilot, Rebecca went to a strip club to talk to a stripper named Destiny about how she definitely didn’t move to West Covina because of Josh.

The Fall should have been one season.

“How Dare Someone Who Was Abused Not Care About Their Abuser’s Feelings: A Thinkpiece by the Guy With The Most Ironic Username on the Internet”

Who’ve you hurt, I wonder?

The replies this post is getting are amazing, if depressingly predictable. Dan Harmon admits being an abusive and shitty human being to a woman and apologizes for it, and you guys are furious at her. This says way more about you than it does about her, sorry to say.

No. Dan shouldn’t out what he did without Megan’s permission and Megan also has no obligation to tell you why she’s angry at Dan. So either way, it’s not douchey.

The world’s not owed anything just because an exchange happens in it.

I got a Community notification for this?

It’s an Edgar Wright film. As far as I’m concerned most of the work he has put out has been full of passion and a unique flavor to it.

There is more to it than that.

Before that, he (Snoke) was saying that before he saw weakness in Kylo and that Kylo was unsure of his path/destiny, now he (Snoke) only saw resolve and purpose in Kylo or something.

Then came the bit with the lightsaber and seeing Kylo turn the handle, etc.

Meaning Kylo actually knew what

that was my favorite part of TFA, and I’m glad they kept it going: Kylo Ren very clearly has never been taught how to fight with his lightsaber. he’s an untrained reservoir of raw power who has never been meaningfully challenged, and as a result his technique is made entirely out of bad habits.

whereas Rey’s fight

In that moment, all things were possible. You figured that the light saber would fly to Rey, she would fight it out with Ren, then escape and the plot goes on. Just like Return of the Jedi, but earlier.

Agreed, just like when Vader kills Palpatine. The Emperor’s in the moment, sadistically torturing Luke, and doesn’t notice when his most trusted subordinate finally snaps and changes sides.

The way women are treated by men in society needs to change. As a man who wants my society and nation to be as strong as possible I will support the political party that shows me they respect women. I won’t even consider a political party like the Republicans who empower pedophiles and predators. If the Democrats want

We didn’t destroy his career. His own actions destroyed his career. We’re saying that there are standards to which our elected officials should be held, and Franken has fallen short of those standards of his own volition.

Obviously YMMV, but TFA doesn’t feel nearly as mercenary and amateurish as JW does to me.
