I admit I kind of liked the Twisted Metal show.  It was stupid enough to reflect the source material but smart enough to be interesting, that’s a hard needle to thread.

10/10 would watch.

I’m so sorry, I lost my mom when she was 64, and it was a super aggressive uterine cancer, diagnosed in Jan and gone in Dec. It was an incredible amount of suffering; as others have said, I will certainly choose to go my own way if the diagnosis is terminal.

Well, Jez just went “Boom” so maybe we’ll get bots roughly six months before the election and then G/O Media will just vanish.

It’s like they saw the reaction to the AVC Chatbot articles and thought the problem was that they were being too honest.

Even computer applications can only pretend to be interested in SNL for so long.

What a strange song to cover. Nevermind that it doesn’t really translate well into bubblegum pop, the lyrics are basically an autobiography and make no sense when sang by someone else.

see, i could have lived my life in bliss having never heard that terrible terrible song.

Funny, my favorite is their another Sabbath cover:

As someone who grew up during the 2600 era, it’s insane to me that we’re cheering for, I don’t know, the seventh company called Atari to buy up the rights to all the different properties/companies that made games for that first Atari, while we’re all watching in horror hoping that Microsoft isn’t allowed to acquire

has now become an annual viewing tradition for many.

I can’t wait until this passes in 2028 with a 2037 adoption date (so corporations have enough time to adapt, which is two years after Mad Max becomes reality.

Don’t forget his Magnum PI mustache.

Of course the Gary vault was a reference to this scene.

Looking forward to seeing them at Darker Waves next month along with DEVO and a million other bands I hope aren’t all playing at once!

Chad Radwell alone makes this show worth watching.

This is bad even for an AI

No! I’m off today and I’m making it about this!

Yes! This made me think of Sierra Games’ King’s Quest and Space Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, hell, even Paper Boy and Rampage. What I time to be a nerdy gamer kid!

Seconded.
