I actually thought the season 2 ending was pretty perfect and they could have ended the show there. I guess there are some overall loose ends but it was a pretty perfect note. I was surprised (pleasantly) that it was even getting a season 3, so hopefully they go out on a high note (again).

Men was one of those movies that starts out as a traditional narrative, but abandons it at the end to become metaphor. I got invested in the character and her story, only to have it unresolved, at least not literally.

Garland has been a case of diminishing returns for me. I loved Ex Machina, liked Annihilation, enjoyed Devs until it beefed the ending, and was left scratching my head after Men. It’s good that he’s stretching himself, but I feel like he needs to reign it back in for at least one movie.

Completely agree with this but don’t forget about White Christmas. That shouldn’t just be on the list, but basically topping it.

Was kind of surprised to not see 15 million merits on the list, but I guess I could see it falling just outside the top 10. Dude basically dedicates his life to helping his friend get a singing audition, just to see her turned into a porn star and him sent back to square 1.

I’m not surprised by Superman & Lois getting a final season 4. It’s mostly paid for by Max (who gets the post-airing streaming rights when each season ends) and, because of that money, has a higher production value than most of The CW’s other shows. Also, when the DCU announcement happened, they said it would get 1-2…

Superman & Lois getting a final season is a very pleasant surprise. 10 episodes is fine I think especially if they just give less time to the teen characters
