I was entertained by a lot of this movie. The “kids in the clubhouse” scenes were fun, the family at home scenes were fun, Shazam & Helen Mirren at the hot dog stand was great and Helen Mirren reading their magically dictated letter had me laughing out loud. All the charm of the first movie found its way into this one

Absolutely devastating loss. One of the most beautiful voices in music. I don’t know when I’ll ever be able to listen to this again without crying like a baby.

Yeah, it’s definitely different enough but the whole first verse and some of the chorus are basically identical.

I have way too many thoughts on the order of this list to type them all, so I’ll just say “Like a Prayer” should be number one and leave it at that.

DC Animation has built up a lot of good will with me even if they’re not all winners (looking at you, 2023 Legion of Superheroes movie). I enjoyed the Flashpoint & Justice League Dark movies in particular quite a bit. Crisis feels like it should be a mini-series though - would be hard to do it justice in 90m.

This episode was fabulous. Lower Decks is not my thing, but Quaid & Newsome just slid right in to SNW as though they always belonged.

I was hoping there would be a Cloverfield recollection in the group, but this was a good selection regardless.

Same. At this point, it feels like it would be financially foolish to switch away from that plan!

“Try That In A Small Town, But Not Mine Because Old Betsy At The End Of The Cul De Sac Gets Upset If I Share The Gate Code With Anyone, And If Betsy Gets Mad, I Don’t Get Invited To The Social At The Subdivision Rec Center”

The trolls are so mad at this that they’ve started copy-pasting each other. Also, Alyx was apparently a star player in middle school and can thus destroy Sam Kerr with a month of training. LOLOLOL they are so stupid.

Sounds like he’s been doin’ a little drinkin’ from Toby Keith’s red Solo cup.

Making Ryan a relic hunter has also been pretty fun. He’s rich, of course he has connections in antiquities!

One of the things that Supergirl and The Flash did well was break out the more ridiculous baddies even while the main big bad was usually Lex and/or another speedster. The Royal Flush Gang was so ridiculous and delightful in The Flash and Gunn seems like the perfect person to get people into the weird corners of DC in

There will never be a better Zsaz than he was. And probably never a better Metamorpho.

Yeah, I was pretty meh on Hawkgirl until the Justice League animated series made her a solid badass character. If all she gets to be is Hawkman’s boo, they’re not realizing the full potential of that character.

Oh James Gunn, are you really giving us a big screen Mister Terrific? Like with a real budget for T-spheres and all their techno-wizardry? Sign me the hell up for that!

If we’re just talking movies, I think what I’ve seen of the Blue Beetle suit is enough to make that my number one. Otherwise it would have been the Doctor Fate suit from Black Adam which really looked great on screen.

I’m disheartened by the number of child assault apologists in this comment section, not gonna lie.

They should sell tickets to Dogman for your choice of a dollar or 50 cents.
