by far their best since Ashes, i really like it

just bought the new RS along with Agalloch's The Mantle remaster, good stuff
it's last year but can't get enough of Enforcer's From Beyond and the new Katatonia and Amorphis are great as well

saw them once *sigh* w/Overcast, Shai Hulud, & Judas Factor in CT during my college days. It was great. No introduction, nothing, just got onstage with their Buddy Holly type microphone and shredded for 20 minutes or so. it came and went too fast. would love to see them again. Maybe play Functioning in its entirety

Agreed. When Forever and the new one are the only albums of theirs that i don't love.

DEP-Under the Running Board was also my foray into more chaotic/mathy/extreme metal and hardcore. Going to college in Massachusetts in the last 90s-early 00s bands like Dep, Converge, Cave In, Drowningman etc played every week it seemed. What a great time to be in New England.
