Can’t speak for BC, but in Alberta the law is not at all clear (i.e. ambiguously worded) that it’s actually illegal to text while stopped at an intersection. It’s not a whole lot more distracting than adjusting your radio at an intersection. The RCMP may just be wasting everybody’s time and money going after people…
