David, while your there being schmoozed by the FCA guys, can you ask them what the holdup is on manual transmission equipped Gladiator Rubicons? I ordered mine on 5/24 and all I have is a VIN. I’ve seen 6-speed Gladiator Sports and Overlands near me, but no Rubicons exc. for the occasional YouTube video featuring one

IDK about the rest of the car, but that door card sure looks fun.

Here’s what I think: the packaging constraints in an 80's Malibu and a contemporary Traverse are much smaller than in a full-size pickup. This leads to the need to make parts for the cars smaller and lighter and installing them in a much smaller space which leads to heat buildup, more fragile materials, etc. While in

I don’t think you can get much more “dad” than a Ford Raptor.

Isn’t this called double-clutching? I do it all the time. It’s much easier on the car than just simply: clutch in-downshift-clutch out. Everything is much happier when it's rev-matched.

Do the automakers just not want to spend money on R&D to “beef” up a manual transmission to handle the power of their biggest engine? If they did, they could spread the manual across the model line to the less powerful options, too.

If I cared about being the fastest, I would never buy a modern car with a manual transmission. It’s about enjoying the drive. Personally, I get more enjoyment out of any given car with a clutch pedal.

I think it's great, but I'm rockin' a 92 Trans Am convertible right now, so I'm biased. To me, it's like Radwood on ‘roids.

Keep in mind it was the malaise era. Even the Corvette was boring (IMO, when compared the the previous and following generations).

YES!

Yyeah, but it was a stick.👍👍👍👍👍

Mine sort of caters to the car guys who are children of the eighties (the firefighters union logo has nothing to do with it) and remember Pontiac's ad campaign at that time. Interestingly enough, gen Xers think I really like The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I’m with you golfball. Over 150k miles and your manifolds will definitely turn rusty. Not to mention the fact that this car could have been parked it’s whole life near a beach. Houston, Corpus Christi, and Brownsville off the top of my head are all Gulf coast cities. However, a full on a lift in-depth inspection would

Was this ejection seat made by Takata?

Most of the 4x4s I've had have the T-case shifter on the left. I think it has to do with where the case is in relation to the front driveshaft.

There was a brake controller on the Jeep build site.

Im pretty sure it's that small because the top is removable and the smaller sliding glass gives the window more strength when the top is manipulated.

A 2 door wont sell nearly as well as a 4 door. Just look at the current JLU vs. JL and any other medium duty pickup truck. The market is just not there.

It’s been proven for a long time that for a serious off-road Wrangler it’s cheaper to start with a Sport and add aftermarket lockers, axles, diffs., etc. because they’re far better built than OEM Rubicon equivalents.

It’s amazing what a stiff-bristle brush and a bottle of Windex (or your favorite aerosol window cleaner) will clean. The best part is, window cleaner evaporates quickly and in 30 years I've never seen it stain or bleach any cloth upholstery.
