Savini is the man.  He instantly makes any movie better by being in it.

The bit in From Dusk Till Dawn where he first notices that he’s starting to transform is hilarious. Savini really plays it masterfully.

I knew a kid in high school who was really inspired by Savini. So much so, he wanted to go into the business.

Sex Machine! I had no idea about his amazing past when I shared a wardrobe trailer with him back in 2001 shooting the Ted Bundy story (I was an extra in the line-up). I just flipped out cause I was standing next to Sex Machine!!  Now, I am even more a fan.

Jesus! I saw the title and my heart sank! For a brief moment, I thought Tom Savini had died. 

Yeah, they buried the actual crimes about 3 paragraphs in. He’s going to jail for a $2million Medicaid fraud scheme he was running. The hoverboard was just one charge included with 45 other felony and misdemeanor charges.

I think it’s more about the fraud than anything to do with the hoverboard. He just drew a lot of attention that made some people look a little deeper and find illegal activities.

IT was for WAY more than the hoverboard stunt.

Not sure about actual reading, but several studies have shown marked increases in neuronal density in the brain regions associated with smugness and pomposity, in response to repeatedly telling others to “read a book, man!”

I’m genuinely curious if there’s any scientific backing that reading a book is better for mental acuity and fitness than playing a video game.

Some people read books AND play new video games. Crazy I know.

It must suck to live a life where nothing excites you enough to want to experience it as soon as possible.
