Yes, we all know the bottom line is money. But there is a reason it works so well. It encourages kids to link up and connect with their friends/siblings, because you can’t get them all just by yourself. From a gamer standpoint, we are all thinking - it is just so they can sell me the game twice! But, kids aren’t

The bloodline part is now relevant and important again with Kassanadra/Alexios because they have precursor blood. This whole thing has been way overblown.

Well, you still need the DNA to be available, you just don’t need the Animus user to be a descendant. The DNA source can still be a descendant of the desired person, or the person themself.

No, they’ve done away with that since the last game. But in this game the bloodline is pivotal to the story for other reasons.

(do AC games still do that dna ancestor framing device any more? )

Nitpicking here but ..if its an adopted kid , its not carrying a bloodline forward though , just a family name..(do AC games still do that dna ancestor framing device any more? )

____, but not ____. That’s going to piss some people off.

You can literally insert whatever you like in those blanks, it’s the internet, people are going to be pissed off regardless.

But People took it upon themselves to assume the sexual freedom would override the story. Now Ubisoft instead of making a game they wanted, have to make a game snowflakes and people who dont even really play the game want.

Don’t worry. Six months from now Blizzard will reveal out of nowhere that he’s trans. For like no reason. It’s like their creative team all went to a writing workshop taught by J.K. Rowling.

Reveals and stuff like this make me wish I still played. I played every season through ten I think, and I made an effort to collect everything I could.

Who said I was complaining? My comment was in response to the couple of articles stating that the fan base was hoping for a black female hero and Blizzard doesn't have an excuse to not have one anymore. So in turn, some of the fan base probably aren't too happy with the news. Why are you reading into this so much?

beyond the inevitable raging because he is a guy, the character seems cool.  the design is kind of standard sci fi shooter, but the backstory, i love a good redemption story.

If there was only one healer on that team the other 5 get what they deserve

Oh boy, this is exactly what Overwatch needed!  Another God-damned healer with enough combat capabilities to keep garbage, low-level players too distracted dealing damage to tend to the 5 people on their team screaming for them to heal...

Nobody is going to be happy, ever.

Oh, it will. People were just right now pissed because of the name of an achievement. The. Name. of. an. ACHIEVEMENT/TROPHY...

That’s fine, but in this particular case Ubisoft earlier was making fuzz about how inclusive the game is.

0:13 - Young Jean-Baptiste experiences the Activision-Blizzard layoffs of 2019.

At some point, some company or celebrity is going to say, “I’m hearing you say you didn’t like that, but I’m not changing it, and I’m not changing my mind. It doesn’t make your life harder and wasn’t directed at you in any way. This will just have to be one of those little things that aren’t exactly the way you like

Just proof that if you think hard enough and get creative enough, you can make anything “offensive”.
