Sigh, no one ever remembers The Red Devil Battery Sign.
To Serve Anarchists… It's a cookbook!
The sad part is, he's probably one of the best of the bunch. He acknowledges global warming exists and there was some other issue where I remember him along with Devos being one of the only ones on the right side of the issue. There's still a whole lot of problems, but he's sadly one of the better ones.
Want to hazard a guess what the race of the guy that restarted the Flat Earth Society in 2004 and kicked off this whole new flat earth craze again is?
The Mountain Goats is the first that comes to mind.
This is the type of thing that we made fun of Fox news for caring about when Obama was president. There's an endless supply of things the Trump is doing wrong that really matters, so it bothers me just a little when stuff like this is nitpicked. It would be nice to be better than this.
Look again at how the daughter enters the room. That's very clearly a kid that likes being around her dad, and wandered into this office plenty of times without being brushed aside.
Look at how the first kid enters the room. That's clearly a kid that likes being around their dad and has done that in the past.
I'm glad to see other people feel the same way. I feel like I've forgotten the song's melody before it's even over.
The second one is kinda meh, but I would honestly rate the first BB album above any of the Shins albums, and I love the Shins too. That might just be my personal taste though.
They'll say "Aw, Topsy!"

And no one could be
More shocked than me
I'm going to ignore your edit and get mad at you for hating Danny Devito. I feel like that's what whoever designed this stupid interface would've wanted.
Boy, I sure love AV Club articles with extensive quotes on mobile. Why would i need more than a quarter of the screen?
I'm excited for new Shins, but I'm really not feeling that first single they released. Maybe it'll grow on me. To be honest, I'm just biding my time until Mercer finds the time to make another Broken Bells album with Brian Burton.
My only gripe about this is that it might make it harder to find a specific review you are looking for. Other than that, I don't mind the change all that much.
Slowly watching all non-newswire, non-GJI columns die :(
Technically it's a solo work, but "My Shiny Teeth and Me" should count.
I love trying to guess where the author is going with the connection to next week's piece at the end. Rolling Stones? People with fitting names? Biker gangs? Steven King? Fictional politicians? Nope, fictional magazines.
Yeah, I din't know whether that counted as an EP versus an album, so I didn't put it on there. Same with Night on the Sun, Interstate 8, Everywhere and His Nasty Parlor Tricks, The Fruit That Ate Itself, and Sad Sappy Sucker. They all have lots of excellent stuff on there, but it would be a lot harder to make a list…
