Is Bob-Waksberg is Jewish, so I’m sure the disgust is at least a bit personal. I know it is for me. Good for him. Like the attorney who took down Henry Ford’s anti Semitic rag, no better person than a brilliant Jewish comedy writer to take down Gibson.

What the fuck is up with Harvard grads being treated like comedy geniuses? Cuz they have the fucking Lampoon? Who gives a shit? Even Tina Fey once noted a good writing team will have a combo of Harvard guys and Improv people.

GET A WOMAN TO WRITE IT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

Do you think Lisa Hanawalt did that purposefully?? My god she’s good at character design and pays attention to details (Bojack’s family members all have coat colors that fit in with real-life breading patterns) but this would astound me.

I loved this episode. It might be one of my favorites in fact. The ridiculous framing serves to move along several plot lines, while creating an air of silliness that underscores how serious and devastating that ending is. And what an ending. BoJack got exactly what he deserved there.

The “auteur” of a show like Philbert might devalue and hate women IRL? Perish the thought!

My favorite part of this episode is the fact that they took an outrageous dumb sex comedy where the couple has to avoid getting caught by their stuffy conservative family and reversed it completely- making a lack of desire for sex something to be scared of showing. It’s almost like it’s a metaphor for how our society

Being ace myself I definitely struggle with this. I really love where they’ve taken the ace rep on the show and I hope they continue it.

No one will miss you if you leave this website, which apparently you really don’t like, but for some reason stick around anyway.

Cartoonist Kate Beaton’s 34 year old sister recently died of late-stage ovarian cancer because her doctor ignored her symptoms for a year and by the time they actually found out “yup it’s cancer” it was pretty much too late.

Hot damn, a day off!

Wait wait wait- I thought institutional racism didn’t exist? Now you’re asking what to do to “solve” it?

Neither were any of the Lord of the Rings movies, but that didn’t stop people from deciding “well he DID spend all that MONEY...” was a good enough reason.

“Today in bullshit a cabal of all male producers wouldn’t on the spot ask of the auditioner for the male lead” is more like it.

Damn. I loved “The Soup” and was hoping it would continue on in Joel’s current show.  Maybe on another platform? I dunno..

Women refuse to attend “private dinners” with male producers and they get branded as “difficult to work with” and shut out of the industry, careers ruined. Men (especially petulant entitled white man-boys) pull this shit, mug at the camera and go “ain’t I a stinker?” And people brush it off as “creative temperament.”

Thanks for explaining something at me I clearly already know. You must feel so very SMRT.

Yes, but did she demand to speak to SNL’s manager? We all know that is the truest evidence of peak white lady rage.

It’s not just the lack of chill for when people do use Mickey on a daycare window, it’s the incessant lobby8ng to delay the lapse of their material into the public domain. Ironically, doing so continues to put The Wizard of Oz and related intellectual property to the movie just out of reach for them as well. Like

It’s not about the poverty line. It’s about racism. Racism full stop. White people being racist. Black people experience poverty at disproportionate rates in this nation and are a solid Dem voting bloc.
