HOW long has she been in this country? Is this a caricature of an entitled privileged American brat who expects everyone else to learn English to cater to HER, and she can just survive “on the language of LOVE” [screwing guys as a stand in for actually communicating with them]?

Yeah, and it wasn’t just that the animals were interesting (a Snow Leopard was one of their first!) - they really were well designed. As wild and maybe foolish as the craze seems in retrospect, they still carry their value as being a cute fun toy.

I totally collected back in the day, but I don’t think I spent more than $20 in today’s currency on a single one - and not very often since I used my allowance mostly on Legos. My collection numbered a couple dozen I guess? The bears were my favorite. I still have a couple of them, and they’re really cute! I like ‘em.

Speaking as a cis woman, the supposed threat of seeing male genitalia isn’t the thing I’m most concerned about when I use a changing room, it’s about being left alone in a relatively safe space. If there were a queer cis guy who felt unsafe in a men’s changing room I’d be fine with him changing with me in the women’s

Take your star

Yeah I could definitely see that. There’s so much that happens below the surface that the public doesn’t see.

Man, the arc of this guy is looking like an LA earthquake seismograph. Beloved character death... rejoice at funny sort-of-resurrection in kooky commercial...sexual assault allegations from two women...then another woman...dropped like a hot potato from career connections...

Having grown up with little brothers, I can confirm that the drop-trou-lift-shirt method of peeing is like, classic little boy bathroom etiquette and I think this is the only animated show I’ve seen actually put that on screen, and that’s hilarious. Of course Butters pees that way. Of course he STILL pees that way.

They’re being very generous to Sunny Balwani in terms of the “looks department.”

I’m the same way when people complain casting Asian or Black actors will “ruin the realism.”

The ending is my favorite part, as heartbreaking as it is.

She definitely did, but I can’t find a source for that quote.

I think my favorite Lucy-related movie I’ve seen is the PBS-broadcast documentary “Finding Lucy.” It was made in 2000, when many of her contemporaries were still alive. It glosses over some things, and it at times feels a bit pat, but it’s heartfelt, genuine, and even if it doesn’t leer into her and Desi’s marriage

I wish I could be more excited for this. But I know what went on behind the scenes of the revival and it just puts a sour taste over all of it. Namely that it was trying to be a Boys Club and any women writers were being pushed out. Lines written by them had to be submitted under a guy’s name in order to get into the

Wikipedia defines “Godwin’s Law” as “an Internet adage asserting that as an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Adolf Hitler approaches 1.”

We can’t let Gibson’s “The Passion” off the hook. It has these characters in it as the villains. But people seem hesitant to call it out as the anti-semitic garbage that it is just because some people with certain “sincerely-held religious beliefs” think this is actually what happened in history.

didn’t mean to imply i disagreed with your prior comment. just trying to add on

Being Jewish AND one who considers themselves Progressive/Left, yes there is anti-Semitism on our side. No, it’s no where near what exists on the right. Nope, not talking about any topics relating to Middle Eastern geography. More like, when you have a movement dedicated to holding power responsible - especially

There she is. That’s the silver tuna.

A little disappointed because I thought this would be a good 3-season show, but just as long as they can resolve things well, I think it could be fine.
