Easy. Airlock:
Hey...ummm...don’t know if I’ll make it out of the greys...but I solved the door/decompression issue a lot of people seem to have. There’s an airlock:
Not doorway. Viewport. As in the big window that got blown out of the bridge. Reading for comprehension... Kind of like the way Grievous’s ship in RotS has doors the slam shut over the docking bay when the shield goes down, or over the bridge when they knock the window out.
Gotcha, misread your comment as against the OP.
And 30+ years passed between RotJ and TLJ...Leia doesn’t get any of the same assumption?
Because every single docking bay doesn’t have one over the opening, and the bridge viewport wouldn’t be a logical place to have a safety like that in place?
#2 was the very first thing that came to mind. Also, I think maybe some Expanse scenes of surviving vacuum came to mind too?
I, as was most of this thread, was referring to the mystery of Rey’s parents, not Snoke. That aside...
Man do I love that. I really wish it had been on the big screen, but otherwise it was perfect to me. Although, if they did it on the big screen there’s no way they would have had the restraint to keep it so simple.
Oh I know...doesn’t mean we need to buy them though. We all could have just as easily have said, “Huh, I’m sure we’ll learn more about that later” and left it. But no, we had to build the suspense up for ourselves.
Hondo, not Holdo
I feel like we made it a huge mystery, not so much them. Just because they didn’t give us an answer right away doesn’t necessarily mean they intended it to be a big mystery.
I thought that was what the whole prequel trilogy was about? I mean, there was that Anakin side arc, but it was really all about the birth of the anti droid movement.
Yes. Something I caught on rewatch was Kylo remarking how it would kill Rey if she were the one doing their force bridge when they first connect. Makes you wonder how powerful Snoke actually was then though.
I’m 95% sure that the main reason this is the best fight scene in the whole series is because it’s the only one Rand has his hood up for. I don’t know if Jones couldn’t keep up with Tan or what, but I wager they subbed someone in for most of this fight. The mask would have made everything better.
No, I get exactly what you’re saying, I just don’t have an issue with it because it’s always been a part of Star Wars to leave gaps and barely mentioned events up to the viewer to extrapolate.
On the projection thing, keep in mind that Rey and Kylo didn’t set up the ForceTime, Snoke initiated the call. I didn’t catch it until a second viewing but one of the first things Kylo says is something like “How is this happening? You aren’t doing this, the effort would kill you.” That also adds another layer to how…
Bendu was exactly the thought I had when Yoda made the lightning strike as well.
Force jumping was introduced in TPM and used extensively throughout the prequels and Clone Wars.
