My only problem with P&F is that it runs rather formulaic outside of that, and feels the same to me watching episodes back to back. Other than that, it can be pretty entertaining.

Nope, most are stand alone movies. Though one that I know of is a shorter version of one the arcs in the anime, though I haven't seen it.
