Don’t focus on the “big” parts to standardize like whole battery packs. Look at how the Tesla is built on modular stacks, standardize on those. Standardize on the modules that go inside them. Have a few sizes, like 5 “main” sizes for the electric motor, or a battery pack that can fit say, 6 modules for a sports car…

I think that vehicles should come with a “stopping rating”. A sports car is going to always stop faster than a minivan full of children. If you’re going 20+ over the speed limit, lets penalize you more if you’ve got shitty stopping distance too, for being an even more unsafe driver.
