I never got all the love for her. I thought Girls was mostly insufferable and pretentious.

I view this forum as the thinking person’s medium to vent about whatsoever gone awry with this show, but does anyone have any idea of how the writers will exit Ian’s storyline now that Monaghan has announced that next week will be his last? For the past 2 seasons I’ve been watching select scenes and relying on A.V.…
The show forgot about Fiona being their guardian all those times she moved in with boyfriends, and also when she attempted to charge her minor dependents for rent. People are legally not allowed to gain guardianship of minor children and then demand money from them. Otherwise Frank would have done that a long time ago.
I’m disappointed that Rudy didn’t have a particular set of skills that would have allowed him to participate in this heist. But I guess he’s too good and pure to dragged into the gutter.
You basically wrote my answer for me - the show isn’t doing any of the work to draw these connections to Frank or Monica. The show didn’t do any of the work to justify the way the siblings have essentially written off Ian. I think there’s a huge difference between a parent who has endangered their children and whose…
I think I also consider the wine train episode with Regular Sized Rudy a heist episode (they stole the dining car’s chocolate)
I turned it off about 30 mins in too. I’ve said this like 25 times but I think I’m actually done with it now.
I am so grateful for your recaps by way of commentary because I’ve consequently not had to put myself through the frustration of watching an episode since season 7. The writers room has lost any sense of respect for an intelligent audience and I don’t understand how they can slide from what was created in the first…
There was a deleted scene where the lawyer tells Ian that ‘arson is a serious charge’ and that he was looking at 10-15 years. In reality, arson is 3-7 years in Illinois and Ian would probably get probation for much of that. So it’s unclear if the 10-15 years reference was a parallel to Mickey’s sentence, or they just c…
My exact thoughts! How is that no other tenants are ever shown, no one going in or coming out. They also need to work on Fiona and Ford's storyline they just seem off together
I enjoyed the episode, but I think the season could have given us more - everything. Eight episodes is not enough. There should be at least 10-13 per season. It felt unfinished and rushed.
Such a good finale! Definitely brought up a lot of the dudes I’ve dated in the past. This episode was almost cathartic. I once had a guy tell me straight he didn’t want a relationship he had to work at. I hope at some point in his life since then someone gave him that same speech Lawrence’s dad gave him. And the last…
Yeah the “bad mood” thing made me cringe. I’m not saying she has to roll out the red carpet for his return but damn. She could have been strong and compassionate at the same time.
But he established Molly’s black only policy. Her dating an Asian guy now represents growth (?). And Molly needs someone strong like Andrew who won’t put up with her shit. Her shit has gotten her nowhere this season.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills — in the episode I saw, Jared had a boyfriend and it somehow confirmed Molly’s trashy biphobia.
This episode felt longer than just four extra minutes—in a good way. I wish they’d go to 10 per season. I had a very emotional hook-up with an ex at Hollywood Forever so I’m biased but I thought it was great. Give it up to Regina King (always give it up to Regina King).
I think these seasons are too short/far apart for me to remember much of past characters, because I have zero memory of Jared.
I don’t know what it was about this season, but even though I thought most of the episodes were good to excellent and Molly and Isa showed some growth It just felt like the prelude to a season to me. Maybe I just don’t want to wait a long time for more episodes, but I really feel like they were really just warming up…
I don’t necessarily think that the Daniel arc was a waste. He’s basically going through the same things as Issa. He’s smart and talented but he isn’t sure how to make things happen. He sees people around him succeeding and doesn’t understand why it’s not going that way for him. Likewise, Issa’s group of friends are…
