Was going to say the same thing. Then I realized it’s really not so much a pipeline anymore, since they’ve just moved the location of the prison into the schools.

Oh I get it; you’re right. Some were in her corner. I recommend finding the footage of that event (IIRC it’s shown in the Showtime doc Nothing Compares. It warms my cold, cold heart each time I see it.
Some folks did support her at the time (EDIT: this is from the 30th Anniversary Dylan show, MSG, 16 October, 1992):
This one really hurts. I knew Sinéad very very briefly during secondary school (she was a few years ahead of me). I remember being in awe of her and a bit afraid of her and amazed at her talent all at the same time. Even then, we all knew she had ‘something’. Go back and listen to Lion & the Cobra; when you do,…
From oyez.org:
Cohen v. California, 403 U.S. 15 (1971)
And then there’s this:
I’ll finish reading the interview later; I just wanted to drop in and say:
Two private citizens. I’m assuming his partner (I’m not sure whether she actually is a sex worker) likely wishes to remain anonymous to the world. Even so, I’d love for the both of them to bring suit.
Also, please note: feminine empowerment. Not ‘female’, not ‘feminist’ (yes, I know should would never use ‘feminist’); ‘feminine’. Ugh.
‘Will be’? As in, in the future? Heck, let’s talk about Brian Sicknick.
The state’s written motion to dismiss the suit accuses the women of trying to “conjure standing by imagining a future scenario wherein they might be harmed,” all but erasing what’s already happened to them and reducing their gutting stories to hypotheticals.
Adding Jamie Bower (aka Peter, aka Henry, aka 001, aka Vecna) to the list. Both as lead of former band COUNTERFEIT., and solo work.
I’m not sure where the previous poster is from. Just wanted to mention that handball in Ireland is very like squash/racquetball -played on an indoor court. And it’s a GAA sanctioned sport.
There’s a word for this:
When I first heard that this happened I needed to ask the guy’s name. When I had that info I thought ‘hmmm, he must be one of those geriatric pols’. Dude’s 43 years old? I mean, come on!
Who is surprised by this?
Yes, all this bribery and corruption is terrible.
My very favourite celeb tweet is from 28 April, 2011, when UK former MP Ed Balls tweeted his own name (he said he was trying to search for his name). It has the added benefit of his name being Balls. Now, each year on the date, we celebrate #EdBallsDay.
