And the DC National Guard will be there, but unarmed.

I’m also a New Yorker (Queens). Was in NYC for primary & middle school. When I was in my early teens my Mum died so Dad sent me to live in Ireland. My Aunt & Uncle in Dublin (her sister & brother-in-law) were my guardians; I was at a boarding school in Waterford (where I met the aforementioned electro-ambient musician

Savage was good. I’m also early 50s and lived in Ireland from 84-88. I spent many a long Bank Holiday weekend in London over that period, so probably have similar New Wave memories.

((((HUGS)))) to you.

Okay, that song has one thing guaranteed to make me love it: slide guitar. only thing better would’ve been had it been a slide STEEL guitar. There’s something about a slide: it sounds like yearning and gets me right in the gut.
