I like how John Fugelsang puts it:
A very long time ago, my brother built two four-ish storey houses each of which was 14' wide, by about 120' long.. He bought the land in Canarsie in Brooklyn at an NYC auction, sight unseen. They were two lots back-to-back, 20' wide. It was all split-level-y and modular-looking (but not actually modular).
In some of the chipper vans around Ireland, they’ll still serve your fish-n-chips in newspaper.
Go the whole hog and use this graphic (though TBH I’m not 100% sure if it’s in pbulic domain):
It’s not just ‘regular’ Poles who are protesting the President. Some of the MPs did too, just in a somewhat more subtle way.
*their Bible. Hate leaving such an egregious typo hanging out like that.
When I was a kid, my older brother, then in High School, ‘found’ Jesus (I think he was behind the couch). The evangelical church he fell in with was almost entirely comprised of recovering alcoholics/drug addicts, so it had a zero tolerance to alcohol. In addition to the good word my brother would preach the evils of…
Are Pence’s kids back in school? Is Mother back teaching? Jarvanka’s kids all back to school, too? Just wondering.
I think it’s in Victoria, Australia (where I understand they’re having a terrible resurgence), they’ve mandated that shopping is to be done by ONE person per household per day. Meaning Mum can do the shopping today, and Granny tomorrow, but not together.
This is what gets me: I’m not a <<Reality TV>> person. But for these two shows, I guess I kinda am!
During the pandemic I’ve found myself channel surfing and seeing that one or other of the Below Deck franchise is on and settling in for a bit of binge watching. Just so frothy and frivolous and fun.
I hadn’t seen this above or in the comments. Nice touch during the closing credits with the plans for Girard showing “Check by: E.S. Gardner”.
Oh go ahead and take ’em all.
Years ago, upon learning that women are lied to at alarming rates when compared to how often men are lied to by experts (or “experts”) such as salespeople, mechanics, repairpeople (regardless of the gender of the expert & regardless of how knowledgeable the woman), I thought about starting a company where we give…
Further east, in Amagansett, is a club that I’ve gone to a bunch of times over the past decades which I really love (several friends have played there). They’ve been livestreaming shows for the past two months or so. They said they’re reopening from 02 Aug, with the artists onstage inside and patrons seated outside.…
Yes I have and I’ve enjoyed it (even the less-than-stellar episodes).
If Perry Mason was on CBS instead of HBO, it’d be awful. But yes, it’d likely do very well ratings-wise.
Co-sign on Stumptown. And if Cobie Smulders and Jake Johnson aren’t enough, there’s the ever lovely Michael Ealy too.
This is something I’ve been enjoying lately. Nice ‘n’ funky.
