On Sunday morning I was up at stupid early o’clock and was listening to some BBC program as I was waking up. There was a discussion between someone from the American Enterprise Institute and a historian who I think was Bregman (it was stupid early; I wasn’t fully awake). There were two interesting parts of the

This is emblematic of the Catholic Church’s stance on heaven and who will be welcome. I think it’s the only one of the Christian denominations which states specifically that non-Catholics will be welcome. All others seem to require adherence to their church.

Oh, I’ve not doubt that a newsperson will be killed at one of these events. How (actually whether) his supporters react will show if they can be redeemed at all.

I saw this on Twitter, so: grain of salt and all. Apparently the Enquirer’s website uses AWS, Amazon’s web hosting service.

Ah. Understood.

I’ve wondered about this myself.  It does make some kind of sense.

When he got married I don’t think he was near to becoming the world’s richest man, so I understand the no prenup thing. In fact I think Amazon and his marriage are about the same ages (appx 25 yrs). Add to this the fact that Amazon didn’t turn a profit for a long time (it was much laughed at for the first few years)

Something else about the monologue which I thought was a bit odd: you’ve a double-duty host/musical guest and she doesn’t sing through the monologue.

Now I want to see all the photos she has of that dog!

Is there a Quaker meeting in your area? Try it out. It’s all about your relationship with God. There are no priests, just elders. Meetings are quiet contemplation; no preaching, no music*. If a congregant is moved to make a statement, s/he just does so and a conversation may (or not) ensue.

I’m a touch biased, I quite enjoy reading philosophical theories and I went to secondary school in Ireland. I wish this had been an option when I was there. Having said that, the curriculum in Ireland, for almost all subjects does encourage critical engagement (or it did during the 80s when I was there at any rate). I

I know that mindfulness & philosophy (as in learning philosophers and their philosophical theories as well as broader philosophical teachings) aren’t 100% correlated, but I do think they’re connected. I can’t quite explain how or why, but anyway. Having said that, there are secondary schools in Ireland which are

funny. so its still up to everyone else in society to protect women...except women decide not to harass/assault women & LGBTQ people... except those that harass/assault women & LGBTQ people. nice.

Jennifer Rubell (the artist who created the piece in question) replied to Trump’s tweet offering a viewing:

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

It is. This is a great example of how word choice matters. “Homeless person” defines the person, much as “left-handed” or “Greek” does. “Experiencing homelessness” defines what the person is going through.

Not an OTT Super bowl party. Just want to let anyone in NYC or LA know that there will be in each city a Super Bowl viewing party that’s also doing a bit of good works.

The video at this tweet is tough to listen to.

To be clear: it was Sanders’s brother who killed the dog not her father. But your larger point still stands.
