I spent a week in England in September and went walkies with my best-friend & her Lola (a beagle) everyday; we used to do this same thing with her childhood dogs when we were teens living in Ireland. Through various wooded areas. I love walking through the woods in Ireland &/or England with a dog.

He was a rescue from the neighborhood, abandoned. Another outdoor cat meowed at him and he ran behind my late husband and me for protection, so Fearless.
