It’s my understanding that this was ‘forced’ by a possible lawsuit by a few State AGs / Governors. Wonder what would happen if there was another lawsuit brought by a different group of State AGs / Governors suing for reinstatement.

I thought it was the opposite: the patient was a ‘reserve officer’ and I thought that Payne was hoping to keep any possible DUI/DWI of a reserve officer quiet. I could have misinterpreted things though.
