Yeah but that was with Cowboy Thanos. This has Suburban J.J. Jameson.

Doesn’t Prime already have a TV series about a middle-aged rural couple with a portal on their property? Outer Range just wrapped its first season this month.
While I’d agree, I see JK Simmons in a lot of stuff, whereas I see Ed O’Neill in less stuff, and I’d like to see him in more stuff.
no disrespect to Ed O’Neill at all because he’s great, but IMO JK Simmons is 2-5x Ed O’Neill. He’s great at everything and it would seem the producers got luckier having him in this role.
I would consider anyone who found a portal to a distant planet and didn’t let humans barge over to it just to fuck that planet up too a true hero. If we have no chance of sorting out our shit before we all melt, there’s no point in prolonging the inevitable by trashing somewhere else.
It is also a sequal of a film that was considered deeply underwhelming to say the least. So why exactly would the audience that didn’t like the preceding film be excited to see the sequel?
Yeah and not just the first one, but the response to the second one, which is this is the direct sequel of, was pretty brutal. One might jump to the conclusion that might have a bigger impact than what JK Rowling thinks about transpeople, but then again that doesn’t give that same room for feeling good about moral…
I love how people are painting this as a result of JK Rowling’s rants and the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard fight when even the first one, done before all of this became high-profile talking points, was largely met with a resounding “Eh, it exists, I guess” reaction.
He’s amazing in Widows, and he’s only been in larger projects since about 2015. Gotta build that resume somehow.
He’s so good, both in his monologue about the song and in his reaction shots.
Yeah, it’s season 3, people should know what the deal is by now.
I really liked how the camera held on Paper Boi’s face during the song. Brian Tyree Henry plays this so well- his impatience is palpable, but it slowly morphs, maybe to consternation, as the kid performs.
I don’t understand. Both seasons of Atlanta never led to any narrative payoffs. Atlanta has almost always been an anthology-type, “each episode is self-contained” type with minor advancements in the plot either happening in the background or off-screen. How is this season any different for you?
BTW, if you guys aren’t hitting the info button to read the show descriptions for each episode, you’re missing out. The one for this episode:
I love Willem Dafoe but just from the trailer I bet Cage would have NAILED Dafoe’s role as the bald weirdo in the Northman saying creepy stuff while staring directly into the camera LOL.
He could play any historical era and still be the weirdest guy. Lighthouse 2 anyone?
I hope someone asked him if he’d seen this clip.
I don’t think you realize the lengths I would go to to see Nicolas Cage in a Robert Eggers movie.
Sounds like a variation of Wayward Pines.
I dunno, Catholic Horror could never live up to the real RCC.
