wie sagt man picard facepalm auf deutsch?

I mean, “Luft” is literally the German word for “Air,” I’m not sure what you’re getting at by making that comparison.

Pilots need actual take offs/landings in order to stay current on their aircraft type and time in the air for their proficiency checks and annual CQ qualification (whatever the equivalent of those are in the EU) so I’m assuming these requirements were also factored into the the decision to fly empty planes. Otherwise,

Not the first time an organization named Luft-something takes to the air to keep what may or may not be rightfully theirs.

Bad news - no passengers

Tracy isn’t married. That’s the joke

I’d like to have a word with her, too.

Are you mad at people long dead for maintaining a river name that is apparently a reference to the Cherokee chief that controlled the area?

Maybe it was the river what killed the calf.... hence the name.

It’s honestly amazing how even a little bit of water can obscure something like a car for so long. Ten feet of water is the height from my floors to my ceiling, plus one foot. That’s not very deep.

“Calfkiller” is a really unfortunate name in this case as it took two young people.

If the road is fairly straight, guardrails are less necessary than a lot of other things those funds can be spent on. I don’t blame the community here.

On a river with “killer” in the name no less. I’m shocked that river isn’t wall to wall cars.

The roll up doors are for city drivers or delivery drivers because they can back the trailer up to the docks without having to get out and open the doors first. Those doors make for a faster delivery but the roll-up doors have higher maintenance requirements, so they aren’t used for common line haul trailers.

Helps reduce skidmarks.

Your non-quilted “high glare” example is painted flat white. It will produce less glare than quilted stainless.

Yeah I assumed it was a structural thing too (with no basis besides a gut feeling, so I still don’t know if it’s right), and I imagine something was lost in a game of telephone somewhere. I’m sure they reduce glare compared to a flat sheet of stainless (which would give super glare if you happened to be in the right

This is where my head went. I’m not convinced they reduce glare tbh.

This seems like an odd answer to me. Sure stainless steel does not take paint well but if you just want to make it non reflecting then brushed satin finish is the way to go.

If I was sitting for 14 hours a day without the possibility of getting up and walking around every 30 minutes, I would want something quilted on my rear end too.
