I one time made a joke about how the name Gord is seemingly popular in Canada and nowhere else (which I thought was pretty well-established, at least when it comes to people aware of Canada stuff). Someone else argued "no" with me, but I was all "yes".

It's nice that they do the lesser-known improv people, sure, but it still tends to lead to the critique that Earwolf is essentially UCB grad school, for better or worse.

I can tune out a little bit during the food parts, but not as much as I tend to tune out during other main-stay parts of other podcasts, e.g. role-playing parts of old (and upcoming…?) eps of Harmontown, "Would You Rather?" in CBB, and after about the first 7 mins of improv in Spontaneanation.

The Jay Mohr episode of Never Not Funny last week was…well, I guess you had to listen to it. Jimmy was right about how Jay might've been the best fit for the show ever, yet he seemingly got anxious and bowed out early…? It was hard to tell if he was serious about not being coked up or if he was high as hell.

The straight-up admission that both Erin McGathy and Mitch had contemporaneous-yet-dually-unrequited crushes on each other years ago - after the intimations of such in Erin's first episode - was a fun follow up.

You mean Master of Disguise hadn't done that already?

Well, at least this means that Chip Esten and Drew Tarver are getting some extra cash, I guess?

I can only assume that the answer to the question is: "In case Jeff B. Davis stops by."

(apparently, last night, every time I meant to type "can" I spelled "can't" instead, which must've made the above comment confusing - fixed now.)

I can understand it. I was still a regular viewer of SoA around the time Vikings started up. I never watched the latter, but I saw the commercials, and I thought it kind of weird that Hunnam was seemingly doing another show that was just SoA-in-medieval-times.

I…would've done bad on this game. I got the Turkey one, but I focused on the "old saint in the woods" part and thought Thoreau, was clueless on beekeeping, and went with Ayn Rand for FJ

I love Vic and Bob so damn much. I never saw the original Big Night Out as it was basically over around the time I moved to London in the early 90s, but I got to watch The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer as it aired (first series, at least).

Have they done Cat with a Snapchat yet?

SNAIL DOWN!

My minor/major nitpick is simply that its premise is to compare/contrast an old film to a new one, and I'm often not incredibly interested in seeing the new film in its theatrical release, if at all (e.g. 10 Cloverfield Lane, Hunger Games movies, Ghost in the Shell, etc).

I enjoyed that H&M episode with Tiff, but when it comes to the best "wife's first time on the podcast" episode of the past week, I'm gonna go with Kristina Rodgers (Mark McConnville's wife) on Pistol Shrimps Radio.

Look, @avclub-186c9e5f4705d0e85dcc7483abe4a7b5:disqus sucks, we all know that. But I agree with him that his criticism was on topic and pretty even-handed (the original commenter's criticism was harsher, for certain).
