I've said this so many times before, but I liked that type of gag when they did it (first) in 12 to the Moon. In Space Mutiny, it increasingly feels like overkill on an already "been there, done that" bit.

The idea that Joel would produce a version of MST3K geared towards the "Space Mutiny is my favorite episode" types is kind of disheartening.
