I don't know where my reply went, but Chez Pim and She Simmers have great sites for Thai food, and Leela (from She Simmers) has a really nice book called Simple Thai Food and I think she might be working on a second book.
Also Serious Eats generally has great Asian recipes.

Made in India is a nice book. The Betty Crocker Indian book is actually great. It's by the author of 660 Curries.

Deep Run Roots by Vivian Howard is a book that I would put over Victuals. Yes, it's a restaurant book, but it's fantastically well done and very accessible and Howard is just a great personality. I even know vegans who adore it, which you wouldn't think would be the case for a book based on a cuisine which isn't

BBA is a fantastic book, and I'd put it above Forkish's. So is Hamelman's book. My personal favorite bread book to this day is Dan Lepard's The Handmade Loaf. It's not the most accessible to American audiences, but it's beautiful and inspiring and Dan is such a good teacher. Every time I flip through it I want to bake

I am generally not a fan of vegan cookbooks (bc I think too many recipes are "good for vegan" vs good on an absolute level) and I truly believe Kenji's Vegan Experience series on Serious Eats is the best collection of vegan recipes around. He will eventually release a vegan/vegetarian cookbook. Right now he's working

I've cooked from it and it's a favorite already. I've cooked quite a few things, but the celery, date, parmigiano, and almond salad alone is worth getting the book.

He mentioned 13 Reasons Why, which is pretty damn generic and… bad.

I have nothing that makes me want to watch Netflix anymore, so this is it for me. I don't like their darling OitNB and I do not care for their Marvel shows, either. I was enjoying Chewing Gum, but not attached enough to it to not cancel, and there is even doubt about it coming back anyway.

Totally different levels. It's not hypercritical to notice this stuff season after season. Your cast is full of Dominican/Cuban/Puerto Rican women and season after season you give them dialogue that their characters would never utter. This is BASIC cultural shit. There are definite racial issues with sense8 to be

Lol OitNB? Really? I mean, they have queer characters.
And they still haven't figured out after all this time and with so many Caribbean actresses that Latinos have different cultures (*cough* the Dominican woman talking about making chilaquiles for grieving inmates*cough*)…

Nah, I like them, too! I still remember those songs!

I like Rita and Runt, but mostly despised Mindy. I could do with them bringing back Minerva Mink!

I get people being initially confused, but after this episode it's pretty clear that Sun doesn't remember him at all, nor does he think about having had sex with her, just fighting her. And then when people point out that they're two different actors, playing characters with different names, people would sooner

When the characters literally have completely different names, are played by two different actors, and neither Sun nor Mun reference having had sex, yeah, the reviewers clearly got it wrong. It happens often that reviewers get details wrong.

Though to be fair, upon rewatch that guy wasn't bad-looking by any means. He's just not as hot Mun.

His name is Mun Kwon Ho. The guy Sun had sex with was a guy named Woo Jin, played by Woo Joo Lee. Detective Mun would remember having sex with her if it had happened, and Sun would remember him, but she has no moment of recognition when it comes to him.

We saw both of them as kids. Mun was played by Sukku Son as his younger self. Woojin, the guy Sun had sex with, was a different actor.

No, that happened, but it's a different guy. Detective Mun's name can be seen here on his card. It's not the same name. Sun doesn't even remember Mun. Never mind that the two men don't look alike.

Once again, Detective Mun is not Sun's lover.
And I'm confused as to when exactly Sun displayed naïveté in regards to sex and love. She's the one who advised Kala that sex wasn't something to be afraid of as she remembered having sex with another fighter (who wasn't Mun) after being let down by her father.

Detective Mun is not the same guy Sun had sex with. She just fought him at one point in her life. I instantly thought that he was too attractive to be a random mook.
