I know... but that’s just crumbs as far as real fights go. I hear ya though.

This isn’t even a Ferrari track. Nor is the next.
I think James Allen, great British commentator, noted that there is at least one turn where Hammy had to lift and Vettel drove it flat out every time (I have too many live commentary pages running at once sometimes!)
In brief from last few days:
>Merc engine Quali mode…
Of course there are specs on fuel. That doesn’t mean complex blends and ignition research don’t exist as advantages based on time and money investments. Shell has been responsible for some of the power gains in Ferrari engines. Petronas has helped Merc.
I don’t think you have any idea of the level of sophistication which we are talking about here. Here, I just decided to Google to see if there is anything recent and in laymans terms — a small example.
Without a long-time, big-time petroleum partner (Shell, Petronas, etc), manufacturers building power units are at a severe disadvantage. Two companies actually play vital roles: Piston suppliers and petroleum companies. The last few tenths of a second and the final breaking point for reliability comes from their…
My enthusiast car experience runs the gamut right up to exotics. Nonetheless, The Celica GTS is pure joy and gave me memories alongside my M3 a few years ago —-> Two things to note: The manual trans is geared perfectly. Short, well spaced gears. This simply doesn’t happen anymore, and I have never driven a car…
Hard to poach when there are only three works teams with experience and the power unit design is 3-4 years old. Possible? Yes... but that’s the point: Possible but exceedingly unlikely to become on par in just a few years. There are so few people who are experts and what do experts do? Bring knowledge and bring…
This power unit business is a lot different that the old engine business. You have an internal combustion engine (ICE), a heat (mainly from turbo) to electric recovery (MGU-H) and the now ‘’old fashioned’’ (!!!) kinetic electric (MGU-K) (good old braking energy recovery).
V4's are common for outboards. Lots of shaking. Also, they lay flat in outboards the pistons do.
Power unit of today much different than engine of yesteryear, people.
A mole inside Ferrari tipped off Merc.
Heck yes
It’s coming... and soon, if Merc dominates this era...
NO. They would not show now. NOT. AT. ALL.
If you care about or love F1, pray that Merc slips. If not, Liberty Media will work towards some type of ‘balance of power’ ...which further emasculates F1.
Ferrari is good for F1. The brand is that powerful. I think some sort of balance of power in F1 is coming, and with continued Merc dominance and Liberty Media ownership, I think that’s a slam dunk proposition. Ferrari will threaten to scale back to engine supplier status when BOP kicks in. Liberty will move ahead…
How old are you? At different ages, we can hear different frequencies. Ask people outside your age range and they might not hear the sound.
This era of new regs is unlike others, so this might be a rare time when regs shift but don’t really change the dynamic: Aero favoring the strongest power unit and now we have unlimited in-season development (favoring Merc), and specific internal engine components that somehow are now weight restricted, which just…
1) Huge metal spoon. 2) Keep sugar and sweetener in the fridge or freezer. 3) Mug in fridge (Quality ceramic mugs can go from fridge-to-hot-drink without breaking) 4) Wrap hands around mug, when they get really warm, remove. You’ll draw heat from the mug, which then draws from the drink. 5) Stir and blow.
