Nothing guarantees any outcome. No lineup would guarantee a victory, but it did put them within about 50 seconds of a 2nd Championship. It ain’t a failure or decoded riddle because about 3 plays separated them. Maybe just two shots.

It’s work like this (Spotters Guide) which restores my faith in sports car racing. People are willing to do this work; it’s damn fine work... and just look at the diversity in that photo. These are the most golden days of sports car racing, even with BOP games being played.

For anyone confused, take a V12 and widen the angle until it is 180 degrees and flat. Mechanically, at the crank and with all moving combustion-related parts, it is a V12 flatteneded out. But, it IS flat. Is it a boxer? NO. Is it flat? Yes. It’s a 180-degree V12... or a Flat 12. It is NOT a boxer if it’s a V12

Buick’s goal is to make the car look big. This has always been a thing, and it’s worse now with people’s penchant for SUVs. It is better to have that car look massive, so they deliberately chose a tiny person. To a minority (us here on Jalonik), it’s ludicrous. As for marketing to the masses (pun intended): It works.

Miata’s newest generation. Meh.

Jackstand failure.

This thing must be geared for tracks (duh), because were it geared for street racer wannabe’s, it’d definitely get to 60 a lot faster. Nice to see a vehicle set up with one thing in mind: Track times. It doesn’t concern itself with sub-5 second 0-60 dashes. To do so would compromise 2nd gear and a lot of corners.

Just noticed. Thanks.

There’s so much less to say when the hideous driving is so clear that one cannot even debate it. Let’s see what Charlie and company do about this beyond the 10-second penalty. I would suspect a point penalty again Kvyat.

Yes... we all know this. That’s the whole point. Their dial-o-matic doesn’t even stop at 11. It’s infinitely adjustable.

I got nothing. The conspiracy theories I have are built around their winning. Seems they have a dial-o-matic power booster that allows them to stay .5 secs per lap of Vettel, no matter what Ferrari does to their power unit.

Why should GM feel any differently? They are here after being 10x dumber, 10x worse, 10x less safe, etc. Now they’re just 10x as ingorant, but it won’t matter. They are too big to fail. What they’re saying is, “We have much better lobbyists. ”

In brown nonetheless.

As for Mary Barra: Her first car was a Chevette. I can’t imagine she has a model of that, but sometimes nostalgia is very powerful. Then again, so are nightmares.

I’d pay 38 G’s just to meet and punch the owner... for never using the damn thing.

Better than ‘’whisky plates’’ some states (Lookin’ at you, Minnesota) issue to those who once were caught drunk driving.

Now playing

I thought Seb was being an ass and venting... but get a look at the overhead, and it’s clear that Kvyat came in with so much speed on the inside that he speared through the turn, and over shot it. He would have hit Vettel, even if Vettel left him the inside. If you have the inside, and you’ve claimed it, you can’y
