I don't have the systray icon, but menu → settings → advanced → system was there.

I grabbed that argyle wallpaper. It's so non-computer, it's perfect for a computer screen. :-)

That looks pretty sharp. I can't imagine how long that took.

Damn, that's sexy.

I bought the c720 via the BestBuy trade-in and it's pretty good. It's definitely not a replacement for your Windows desktop machine but when you're on the go and need a web browser, email, Dropbox and Google Drive it does just fine. The c720 has incredible battery life and it's so light it's great for traveling.

I use it on my Nexus 4 and love it.

I like Yahoo Weather except for the nightmare that is the map. There is no way to turn off the "physical" layer, the map can't be put in motion, it starts zoomed waaaay out (no joking, it fits about 300 miles north/south) and if you zoom in too far the weather overlay disappears.

Typical Mozilla post - memory in FF is a problem but it's not our fault, here's some anecdotal "evidence" accompanied by no assistance on how to diagnose extensions on your own. Gee, thanks Mozilla!

Another way to get them excited is to install something they're passionate about. MLB@Bat, recipe search, sudoku, weather, etc. That way they learn the difference between a feature phone and a smart phone. No sense in getting them a smart phone if they're just going to use it as a phone. But make sure you vet any

Google's (not so) new plan to dominate your app drawer - offer dozens of apps that all do the same thing with slight differences thus necessitating that you install all of them. Newsstand vs. Currents, Drive vs. Quickoffice vs. Docs/Sheets, Android email vs. Gmail, Gallery vs. Photos, Play

The advantage of these is they can create and edit document when offline. Of course that brings up the next question, why didn't they just role this functionality into Google Drive or role Drive integration into Quickoffice? That I can't answer.

Using the UI Fixer extension you could remove the orange button and free up some space. Now the hamburger can't be removed, the bookmarks button takes up twice as much space, extensions in the url/search bar are all spaced out, tabs are bigger. There is so much wasted space now. Every single thing in the default

I came here to make the same comment. I don't understand why Widgetsoid gets so little press. It's one of the first things I install on every Android device.

FYI, my 'select your music' email came about 50 minutes after the confirmation email.

It looks nice but there is so much light and so many bright surfaces, trying to cut through the screen glare would give me a headache.

That "transition from hot to cold" isn't going to happen like that. At all. No one's skin will get "ultra sensitive." You'll just get a very confused sex partner wondering why the fuck you're playing with the climate controls instead of their genitals.

Another fun one is the Reliability Monitor. You can see system events on a nice timeline, then click on a day with an error to see more specific information. I have no idea where the actual icon is, but type 'reliability' in the start menu and you should see an entry for "View reliability history".

I came here to verify that styles made it in as a tip. Well done Walter! If you're writing a long document, it saves you from updating 20 headings across the entire doc.

I go thumb-Ctrl, index-Shift, middle-Esc.
I also have large hands.

I was using XML/SWF charts from maani.us but obviously the charts are in Flash (eewww). Additionally, they require a little more prep work because you have to format the data as XML and then feed the XML into the Flash plug-in. I'll have to give this a try.
