I disagree with your notion that the Apple store won't take away from the classic beauty of the terminal. Apple's minimalist design is appealing. Grand Central Station is beautiful. Combined, however, I think they'll clash too much. I've never liked the fusion of old and ultramodern.

I would have started a new thread, but all of my comments sounded too FORCEd to me.

I'd rather use a wooden skewer, like one for a Shish Kebab. Drill bits (at least mine) are often used and can have wood, plastic, metal, etc. all over them. Cleaning isn't always thorough either, usually just some paper towel. Nauseating. Then again, so are hot dogs.
