It's really cute how you continue to miss the point. The point is not about how the girl feels, or how the boy feels, the point is how people are reacting. It's part of a larger cultural trend to blame the woman when situations like this happen. Every thing you've stated can easily be reversed to put the

Even if she wasn't out of it, it doesn't matter. Both partners have agency, both partners are responsible. No one is saying "Awh, you get it, girl!" I don't know why you have such a hard time that the guy has equal responsibility in this.

Very much true. I don't think anyone is saying "good for you, sweetie." I think the problem really is the difference in reactions.

Boys are ALWAYS trying to get sex from a girl. I think it's in their DNA or something.

The sad part is that this isn't the first time this has happened.

Hence the issue the article is talking about. Why is she the only one who has to suffer? How fucked up is that?

Ditto.

And she was possibly drunk, or on drugs, or was compromised in some other way. If you want to put it the terms of what she "let them do", these boys let a girl perform oral on them when they didn't know her, didn't know it was safe.

Learning the hard way should never mean thousands of strangers on the internet calling her a slut.

And boys too. The boys knew what they were doing.

Of course every article where someone says something negative about these guys, MRAs are going "but how can you saaaaaay that, you hypooooocrrrriiiite."

Sigh... Cue all the assholes who say "well, she should have known what she was doing."

Ugh. That second post is such a disgusting cop-out. I don't endorse offensive language but THANKS YOU GUYS.

While in a lot of ways that sucks, that also makes me feel a little better, because at least she's not profiting of of those women's unique stories.

Yeah, my biggest qualm with Kerman is that she got to tell these stories for other women. I've only seen the show (which I did enjoy immensely), but if the book does contain the stories of other inmates, I wonder if she actually got permission to use them or if she just changed the names.

He sounds like a Jawa.

Definitely more man asses.

You are my favorite.

The article from the NYTimes describing Drew House (similar to JusticeHome, but the women and their children all live in one residence) is worth a read too.

I once ate a cronut after it had fallen in radioactive waste and it was worth it.
