I don't think there is a such a thing as 'Race ABS' considering the ABS system adds weight and complexity to an operation that racers should be better at than a machine anyway. Probably just a signifier of the governmental mandates for mandatory ABS to come. Blech.

@KeRiCr: "I live in Florida" Say no more! I too learned to ride in, and rode in Florida for a few years. Huge roads + heat + boredom = stupid ass riders. I've accepted I'll always be looked down on as a rider even though I'm not a dumb tit. When the next big oil crisis happens and scooters start looking great

@Ayeco: Good god!

@FodderTheSane: I don't view mandatory helmet laws as 'intrusion into daily life'. This is one of those things that I believe, as you adhere to the social contract, you *owe* society to wear a helmet. Neck and head injuries are so much more severe without one, and America's fucked up health care system means someone

If that motorized butt does not end up being a LeMons racer or at least a pit scooter, I will eat my hat.

@Corn-vette: No, he has to stay in Texas. Not every progressive can come to one state; we need to be spread around. Besides it sounds like he fits in Texas just fine.

@Nick: Well, in the dictionary, the entry for 'ostentatious' has a picture of this truck, so you can start there.

Fabulous Gixxer rider scoffs at such foolishness.

@DeadBuick: The Nissan 2012 Nissan GT-R will have a similar display, but instead of trees, it will be fossilized dinosaur skeletons bursting into flames (the less MPG you're getting, the faster they're consumed)

@BlueRSX: Well, the issue is with physics - computers use less and less electricity because of smaller nanometer processes, but an electric car has to move a certain amount of weight in a certain time. This is a law of physics issue that can't be surmounted with efficient electronics; batteries simply must hold more.

@AustinMiniMan: I agree on the government intervention part. Who needs more of that? But assuming the free market is going to mystically assemble into something that is 1) sustainable 2) ethical and 3) fair and amiable to everyone is like expecting a tornado that rips through a playing card factory to assemble a 50

@mat181: I'm now imagining a reality in which thousands of kittens are hooked up to big dynamos, all purring and playing with string.

@Dukie: Reflective Belt joins Inanimate Carbon Rod among objects as American heroes.

If the the rear glass of the 'Burban was star shaped, would the guard rail have emerged that way as well?

@moefosho: Alright, then ditch those shitty 6 or 8k lamps for normal 4300k ones - well, if you still had it on the street anyway. Hell yes track bike!
