@Jim-Bob needs more two stroke and less hybrid!: Not enough. I would risk temporal breakdown destroying the universe to man a mission to go back in time to remove this from reality. Paradoxes be damned, I'm wondering if it and I can co-exist in the same euclidean space.

@superveloce: Every porky 'Stang like this I see, I think back to the Giugiaro Mustang concept and a tear rolls down my face.

@06Limer: Any aftermarket rear for this newest Mustang design is an improvement in my book. I cannot stand that plastic tumor growing on the bottom edge of the rear clip. Ass warts.

@MrHowser: Now on XBL as NoReturnPolicy: You're on to something. It's a kind of dissonance; you *know* that it's really a window, and that covering it with a panel is supposed to recall the look of a '67, but a '67 never had a window there... it's false advertising, like a Wonderbra.

@Arfdog: Haha, I don't think he is, but I am still skeptical of AWS as a racing aid; the additional complexity of CV joints at all 4 corners seems to outweigh any possible benefit (is AWS used on any actual race cars?)

Great chart! Interesting to read and infer. I'm surprised to see the Neon up there, given the notorious nature of the Chrysler 420A engine to eat head gaskets. Also surprising is the idea that Sentras nuke their engines; I know for a long time, Sentras used a 4 banger derived from Nissan small trucks, you'd think

Orange Crush is for Dodges, not skin.

That is not a racket. That is a pipe.

@stevecmh: In defense, MPG formulations have changed since then to be much tougher.

@Paul Y. can't get in the club; gotta parking lot pimp: I would wager that the aim was to capture the idea of the 'sporty but conscious car' in it's entirety, similar to how Prius *is* Hybrid, you know? The good the car is at doing what it's supposed to is secondary to achieving an image that will become synonymous

@SantaRita: *Golf clap* Nicely played.

@maximum-sienna: I've found an unfortunate side effect of the fill flash is the whitening of the skin and shadows projected from arm hair, producing results like that. The camera adds ten pounds (of hair).

The front page thumbnail picture is vague enough to imagine the clamshell actually containing one of those sweet movie-style gun closets full of high tech weaponry. Mini - Punisher Edition. Skull painted on roof, night vision HUD... I think I'm onto something there.

@Maxximtl: The enlightened disposition of the smug driver detracts from unsprung weight.

@87CapriceEstate: I get the same feeling... not sure what the aim was here. Militarize a Scion xD?
