In answer to your bechamel question, I prefer soaked cashews blended with water in a high-speed blender (and not strained) and/or blended cauliflower when I do bechamel-type sauces. For flavor reasons.

I wonder which method is more cost effective. I probably won’t find out because I’m lazy and just buy the almond milk.

Commercial almond milk doesn’t; it has a pretty long life in the fridge. Homemade almond milk won’t last as long. Fresh, unpasteurized dairy milk would also spoil fast.

Yeah, my first thought about basketball players who are most likely to hurt from this was the G League and WNBA, who usually aren’t paid that much to begin with. WNBA season was supposed to start this summer, but I suspect it will get pushed, shortened, or canceled.
