Opal - She’s a Diamond
Opal - She’s a Diamond
The chorus remains genius -
Dig this Setzer version -
Another tremendous one, Gris!
“I got four minutes left!”
(Fingers crossed that this one gets out of the greys today) -
One of my favs from thee PRINCE -
Six weeks back I finished reading his autobiography, and now I fondly recall about a month ago talking about the part where he discussed in detail on the making with this video with a good friend over some catching up with a drinks in Downtown Las Vegas as we caught up on our love of The Smiths/Morrissey.
Still awed by his vocals on this -
Out last night to visit a friend, went to a local dive, and the DJ spun this. It’s been a while since I heard it and I forgot how much I dug it.
This was the first song that came to mind. Thanks for the post!
“And you’d do it again/And you’d do it again/And you’d tell me you like it/And you’d tell me to take it home/From 9 to 5/You’re not, you’re not alive.”
Crank this one up.
Came here for this.
My fav -
Just about ten years ago(!) that this little diamond of a ditty came out -
I didn’t appreciate this song until two or so years back, after falling asleep with the TV on. I woke up around 2am and this doc was playing. I was able to wake up in a haze and see this just starting.
