Was Netflix considered a monopoly back in the day? Maybe they had a monopoly on streaming but the content wasn’t theirs

Only way streaming will survive vs piracy at this point and be profitable is to go back to a central service like Netflix used to be. Maybe a shared platform where companies are paid based on how much the content is viewed and amount of content contributed to the platform.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Disney was automatically counting people who got Disney+ plus automatically as a promo when activating services like wireless or cable bundles even if customers never registered to use the service.

This is mostly about control, management justifying their jobs and maintaining real estate values.
